KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Chief Mustafa Kamal on Thursday dubbed Sindh Governor Ishratul Ibad and founder of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) as ‘plagues’.
This episode follows Wednesday’s scene when Ibad criticised Kamal and his governance and – as the rift between Kamal and Ibad intensifies – Kamal said the provincial governor only tried to threaten him and his party through his fake claims.
“Mustafa Kamal is not afraid of anyone or any case,” said the PSP chief and proposed a joint investigation team to probe into all the claims the Sindh governor made about him.
He said the Ibad was trying to hide – ‘his own wrongdoings’ – behind top officials of the provincial government. Kamal alleged that Ibad was behind the May 12, 2007 bloodshed in which at least 40 people were killed in armed clashes between political parties on the arrival of the then chief justice of Pakistan, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
He also asked to open the Baldia factory case that claimed the lives of more than 250 workers and caused injuries several labourers in 2012 – one of the worst terror acts in Pakistani history.
“I am sure that the concerned officials will find links of the Baldia factory fire to the governor house,” said Kamal
